Kelly is the co-founder of Sunrise Services, a company she established alongside her father, Tom, in 1996 in the greater Detroit area. Their initial operations were based out of the spare bedroom of her parents' residence. Kelly pursued a dual degree in Horticulture and Music Theory from Michigan State University, and graduated in 1988. Subsequently, after an illness prevented her from completing nursing school, she obtained another Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics from the University of Michigan, 15 years later. With over 25 years of experience, she is a certified medical coder and biller.
Whenever time permits, Kelly enjoys exploring the great outdoors through activities such as kayaking, hiking, and gardening. Her love for nature stems from her upbringing in a farming community in Michigan. One of her life goals is to hike at every National Park across the United States.
Currently residing in Kentucky with her husband of 27 years and two adult children, Kelly relocated her family to merge the Michigan and Kentucky locations of the company 20 years ago.
One of her favorite quotes is one from Maya Angelou "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."
Sherrie has been with Sunrise Services for over 15 years, beginning as an Administrative Assistant and eventually becoming the Vice President and General Manager at Sunrise Services. After coming to Kentucky in 1993 to finish college, she fell in love with the area and decided to stay; drawn to its diversity, natural beauty, music, and of course - bourbon and horses.
Initially, Sherrie's career was focused on childcare and youth ministry, yet she has embraced the opportunity to learn within the healthcare industry. Now, after 27 years of marriage, she is able to share her newfound knowledge with her adult daughter, as well as enjoy her other passions such as music, nature, Star Wars, and penguins. Sherrie cherishes the professional and personal growth Sunrise Services has to offer.
Rick has been with Sunrise for over 20 years and is the team lead for our support services, and our Chief of Operations specializing in EHR training and implementations. It is his desire to ensure clients are successful in their practice whether they are just starting out or seasoned professionals.
Rick is a retired Navy veteran and been married to wife, Kathy for over 41 years. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Daryl started with Sunrise Services over 15 years ago and is the person you call when you have any EDI issues. Claims aren't processing? Do reports need to be customized? Daryl is the person to call.
Beyond his work providing support and assistance to clients, Daryl enjoys many outdoor activities whenever possible. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, and biking with his wife of 27 years. He also enjoys time spent with his adult sons who share his love of the outdoors. His love of nature’s beauty and family help drive his interest in woodworking, where he crafts practical and decorative items that are as unique as they are beautiful to look at.
Jane has been with Sunrise for over five years and comes with over 20 years of experience in medical billing. She's seen many changes and advances in her years working in the field (which, she owes to her sister who introduced her to this field).
Jane is our comic relief and always brings joy and humor to our team meetings. She faces challenges head-on, and always with a smile and a positive attitude.
Our team wouldn't be complete without its smallest (but loudest) member. He spends his days on guard looking for threats that may come through the door and alerts everyone when a squirrel or anyone else passes by our front window.
When not on guard duty he likes to play frisbee and hike with his mom.
Cooper is the definition of a goof ball. Whether its jumping in a chair at lunchtime to hang with the crew or insisting on some toy time whenever the urge hits, Cooper will keep you smiling with his goofy behavior.
