We understand the importance of independent medical practices for providing quality care, and we applaud their independent streak. That's why we strive to provide comprehensive and personalized services which help them manage government regulations, maximize revenue and maintain autonomy. With over 25 years of experience, our company has become adept at tailoring our solutions to each practice's unique needs – this is what sets us apart from the competition. We don't just listen to our clients; we take their ambitions seriously, and actively strive to help them reach their goals.
We prioritize our clients' needs above all else, and strive to provide solutions tailored to their individual practice. We free them from having to manage the back-office and billing processes so they can focus on what they do best—caring for their patients. We look beyond the immediate project objectives and consider what must be delivered for our clients to achieve their long-term goals. Together, we can make managing medical bills easier and simplify the revenue cycle.
At Sunrise Services, our team is driven by uncompromising integrity to positively impact the business side of healthcare. We believe that independent practices are key to a quality medical system. It is a privilege that we are able to fulfill this vision by partnering with software vendors that help healthcare professionals realize their full potential as caregivers by providing products that both aid in electronic health records, and revenue cycle management as well as impact the patient directly, resulting in a healthier, better-informed populace. Our community of employees and customers work together in a spirit of innovation.
Allow us to show you how our suite of medical practice management options will benefit your practice or medical billing services. Sunrise currently provides full-service management and billing services to hundreds of healthcare providers nationwide and in and around our office located in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
Kelly is the co-founder of Sunrise Services. She and her father, Tom formed the company in the spare bedroom of the home her parents were living in at the time in greater Detroit back in 1996. She double majored in Horticulture and Music Theory at Michigan State University and 15 years later-a Bachelor in Health Informatics from the University of Michigan. She is a certified medical coder and biller, with 25+ years under her belt.
Whenever possible you’ll find her exploring the outdoors, whether it be in a kayak, in hiking boots, or out in her garden. Her love of the outdoors is rooted in growing up in a farming community in Michigan. One of her life goals is to hike at every National Park in the United States.
She currently lives in Kentucky with her husband of 25 years and two adult children, moving her family to merge the Michigan location with the Kentucky location 17 years ago.
One of her favorite quotes is one from Maya Angelou "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."
Rick has been with Sunrise for over 18 years and is the team lead for our support services, specializing in EHR training and implementations. It is his desire to ensure clients are successful in their practice whether they are just starting out or seasoned professionals.
Rick is a retired Navy veteran and been married to wife, Kathy for over 41 years. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Daryl started with Sunrise Services over 15 years ago and is the person you call when you have any EDI issues. Claims aren't processing? Do reports need to be customized? Daryl is the person to call.
Beyond his work providing support and assistance to clients, Daryl enjoys many outdoor activities whenever possible. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, and biking with his wife of 25 years. He also enjoys time spent with his adult sons who share his love of the outdoors. His love of nature’s beauty and family help drive his interest in woodworking, where he crafts practical and decorative items that are as unique as they are beautiful to look at.
Sherrie has been with Sunrise Services for over 12 years, beginning as an Administrative Assistant and eventually becoming the Vice President of RCM Services. After coming to Kentucky in 1993 to finish college, she fell in love with the area and decided to stay; drawn to its diversity, natural beauty, music, and of course - bourbon and horses.
Initially, Sherrie's career was focused on childcare and youth ministry, yet she has embraced the opportunity to learn within the healthcare industry. Now, after 27 years of marriage, she is able to share her newfound knowledge with her adult daughter, as well as enjoy her other passions such as music, nature, Star Wars, and penguins. Sherrie cherishes the professional and personal growth Sunrise Services has to offer.
Teresa is a Certified Professional Coder with over 21 years of experience in Family Medicine, Pain Management, OB/GYN, Behavioral Medicine, and Endocrinology. She has been with Sunrise for over four years and works remotely from West Virginia. She works diligently with her clients to ensure proper billing and coding procedures are followed.
Her wealth of knowledge and insight make her an invaluable team member for Sunrise and our clients.
Jane has been with Sunrise for over four years and comes with over 20 years of experience in medical billing. She's seen many changes and advances in her years working in the field (which, she owes to her sister who introduced her to this field).
Jane is our comic relief and always brings joy and humor to our team meetings. She faces challenges head-on, and always with a smile and a positive attitude.
Eli is the baby of the group and has been with Sunrise for the past couple of years. If you can't see the family resemblance he is Kelly and Daryl's youngest son and works on the RCM team doing data entry and payment reconciliation.
Eli's passion lies in photography, where he has earned recognition for his outstanding work. Eli's work was featured at the Kentucky Folk Art museum depicting images of life in Kentucky.
Karl is a new member of the team, providing general tech support. A jack-of-all-trades; whether programming bots to automate processes, updating and securing server connections, or just getting your computer set up and ready to roll, he’ll swiftly solve your sticky software situations.
Karl is an avid reader and enjoys going for long walks with a book in hand. When he’s not engrossed in other people’s stories, he’s working on building characters and worlds of his own.
Our team wouldn't be complete without its smallest (but loudest) member. He spends his days on guard looking for threats that may come through the door and alerts everyone when a squirrel or anyone else passes by our front window.
When not on guard duty he likes to play frisbee and hike with his mom.
